Looking for an Agent.

I have recently went out on my own. I decided to stop being a day dreamer and start being a dream chaser. The only problem that I have really encountered is that I don't know how to make these dreams of making of a living from my dreams a reality. Any advice would be well received.
One suggestion that I have gotten was to retain an agent who could look for gigs for me as I worked the craft, but alas I haven't been able to find one. So if anyone out there has one, and don't mind sharing drop me a line.
